The third of AWE’s three shows featuring encaustic art opens on this Saturday (12-5) with Nancy Pollock, Larraine Seiden and Judith Williams each displaying three paintings in beautiful abstract styles, rendered in translucent beeswax and often accented by imbedded objects. The show runs until July 29.
As with the previous shows in this series, we will again present an afternoon of ekphrastic poetry. On Sunday July 22 at 2 PM, Jane Green, Kit Kennedy, Nancy Wakeman and and Sherri Rose-Walker will read, augmented by harpist Patrice Haan.
And in addition to the featured show, the AWE resident artists are displaying new work — come see my Eucalyptus series!
The AWE (A Woman’s Eye) Gallery is at 678 Portola Drive in San Francisco. Open Saturday and Sunday 12-5 and by appointment.
