Ever since I moved to San Francisco in 1996, I have been fascinated by the local scenery. How many actual "snapshots" have I taken over the years with a throwaway camera to send to friends and family back East? "See! This is what it looks like here!" These small pastel paintings serve the same purpose - a quick glimpse of a favorite place.
